At the time of writing, the gas price is 0.000000059 APE. This figure is simple enough to read, but voicing it out (zero point zero zero zero zero zero zero zero five nine) is a mouthful!
Luckily, as with money (e.g. USD where 100 cents = 1 dollar), units of APE is referred to in more than one denomination. This helps simplify calculations and put values into perspective. In the example above, 0.000000059 APE is simply 59 (fifty nine) Gwei.

Some of the instances where this tool would be helpful are when you are estimating the gas fee for your transaction as gas fees are traditionally shown in Gwei while the unit Wei is used for smart contract interactions. With this instant converter, you will know exactly just how much of your APE will be deducted beforehand.

APE Units & The Math Behind It
APE can be converted into 11 different units. The smallest unit in value is Wei, followed by Kwei, Mwei, Gwei, Szabo, Finney, APE, KAPE, MAPE, GAPE, and finally TAPE in this exact order. Each unit is 10^3 (or 3 decimals) apart from the unit next to it. This means that 1 Wei is one thousandth (1/1000) of Kwei, 1 Kwei is one thousandth of Mwei, 1 Mwei is one thousandth of Gwei, and so on.
